In CNC turning the workpiece rotates while a computer-controlled tool produces cylinders, tapers, threads and other turned surfaces with high accuracy and repeatability.

How it works

G-code moves the tool along the X and Z axes to turn outside and inside diameters, cut grooves, threads and bores, with tightly controlled accuracy and short cycle times.

Tolerances of ±0.005–0.01 mm, continuous operation, complex shafts, pins, tubes, threads and tapers to drawing, stable repeatability and lower long-term cost.
